Artist's Notes: This large Watauga River floodplain in Foscoe provides one of the best views of the famed Grandfather Mountain profile. The shapes and movement within the foreground terrain provides a lead-in to the profile and there is often a "big sky" happening in the evenings. Painted in a traditional wet to dry approach.
