Steels Creek Crosswalk
Artist's Notes: This image came about from a fly-fishing excursion with good friend Tom Valone on Steel's Creek in the Linville Gorge Wilderness Area. Painting on Strathmore Crescent watercolor board allowed for loose wet washes and lifting out color for highlights in the water. Capturing the essence of any waterfall is difficult as it is always tempting to overwork the details.
